Dubai is preparing for a new era of growth, with AED 2.1 trillion in active projects spanning real estate, aviation, transport and infrastructure, according to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
Speaking at the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum, Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed the emirate’s commitment to continued development, declaring: “Our journey is accelerating, not slowing down.” He further emphasised that, “Our momentum is continuous and our achievements are ongoing. This is the ideal time to invest in Dubai and its infrastructure.”
For international investors and discerning property buyers, this scale of investment reinforces Dubai’s long-term ambition to build a globally connected city offering exceptional residences, world-class amenities and an elevated quality of life.
AED 1.1 Trillion in Real Estate Investment
Real estate sits at the heart of Dubai’s development strategy, with AED 1.1 trillion allocated to property projects through 2030.
This investment reflects the continued evolution of Dubai’s residential landscape. As the city expands, investment in infrastructure and public amenities is helping shape the appeal of established prime districts and emerging luxury destinations alike.
For buyers considering luxury real estate in Dubai, the wider development pipeline offers an important perspective on the city’s long-term positioning, beyond individual assets and short-term market cycles.
Infrastructure Driving Global Connectivity
The emirate’s investment extends well beyond real estate, supporting the infrastructure that underpins its international appeal.
Highlights of the various investments include:
- AED 328 billion for fleet expansion at Emirates and flydubai
- AED 128 billion for Al Maktoum International Airport, planned to become the world’s largest airport
- AED 151 billion for new power and water grid infrastructure
- Over AED 100 billion for the development of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)
- AED 100 billion for RTA projects
- AED 80 billion for the Dubai Strategic Sewerage Tunnels system
Together, these initiatives are designed to strengthen connectivity, support economic expansion and enhance the city's liveability for residents, business leaders and international investors.
A Long-Term Vision for Luxury Living
Having shown sustained resilience through this year’s regional tensions, Dubai’s next phase of development is about more than scale. It is about creating an integrated global destination where business, culture, leisure and exceptional residential experiences converge.
For luxury property investors, understanding this broader vision is essential when evaluating location, lifestyle and long-term potential. As Dubai continues to invest in its future, its real estate market remains closely linked to the city’s ambition to attract global talent, capital and residents for long-term growth.
