1. Who we are
Premier Estates Real Estate Brokers, trading as Christie's International Real Estate Dubai ("we","us"), is a real estate brokerage licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai (Trade Licence No. [ 671384]) and registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (ORN [11814 ]).
We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. This means we decide why and how it is used.

2. What this notice covers
This notice covers the personal data we handle when you buy, sell, lease or list a property with us, and when you enquire about one. Information collected through our website — cookies, analytics and site preferences — is covered separately by the Privacy Policy published at christiesrealestatedubai.com. Where both apply, this notice governs your transaction data.
3. What personal data we collect
Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:
Identity and contact information — full name, nationality, date of birth, passport details and copy, Emirates ID details and copy, UAE residence visa, home address, telephone number, email address.
Property and transaction information — title deed, Oqood or pre-title documents, property details, tenancy contracts and Ejari records, Forms A, B, F and I, Memorandum of Understanding, NOC from the developer, service charge records.
Financial and compliance information — bank details, proof of funds, source of funds and source of wealth documentation, mortgage pre-approval, payment receipts, and — where you are acting through a company — trade licence, articles of association, shareholder register and details of ultimate beneficial owners.
Interaction records — enquiries, viewing history, correspondence including email and messaging, property preferences and search criteria, the source your enquiry came from (portal, social media, referral or website), and notes made by your agent.
Listing and marketing material — where we market your property, photographs, video, floor plans and virtual tours of the property, including its interior and any contents visible at the time. We also hold your marketing preferences and any consent you have given.
Some of this — such as passport and identity documentation — is confidential, and we apply additional safeguards to it.
4. Why we use it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Basis under the PDPL |
| Customer due diligence, identity verification, sanctions screening and beneficial ownership checks | Article 4(10) — necessary to fulfil obligations stipulated in other laws in force in the State |
| Reporting to the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit via goAML where required | Article 4(10) |
| Verifying ownership and obtaining an advertising permit before we market your property | Article 4(10) and Article 4(9) |
| Submitting transaction documentation to the Dubai Land Department, trustee offices and developers | Article 4(10) and Article 4(9) |
| Providing brokerage services and performing our agreement with you | Article 4(9) — necessary to perform a contract to which you are a party |
| Responding to your enquiries and arranging viewings | Article 4(9) — measures taken at your request with a view to concluding a contract |
| Advertising your property, including publishing listings and photographs on property portals, our website, social media and the Christie's International Real Estate network | Article 4(9) — performance of our agreement to market your property |
| Matching you to properties and sending you listings that fit your stated criteria | Article 4(9), or your consent under Article 6 where you are not yet a client |
| Sending you our newsletter, market updates and general promotional material | Your consent under Article 6 |
| Keeping records to bring or defend legal claims | Article 4(3) — necessary to initiate legal claims or defend rights |
Please note: we are a Designated Non-Financial Business and Profession under UAE anti-money laundering legislation. Collecting and retaining your identity and source of funds documentation is a legal requirement, not a commercial preference. We cannot proceed with a sale or purchase transaction without it.
5. What happens if you do not provide it
If you do not provide the identity and financial information we are legally required to obtain, we cannot act for you on a sale or purchase. For general enquiries and viewings, we ask for far less, and you can decline to give us marketing consent without any effect on the service you receive.
You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or by contacting us directly. Withdrawing consent does not affect marketing sent before you withdrew it, and does not stop us contacting you about a transaction that is already underway.
6. Who we share it with
We share your information only where necessary, and only with:
• Government and regulatory bodies — Dubai Land Department, RERA, registration trustee offices, the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit, the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and other authorities where legally required
• Transaction counterparties and their representatives — the buyer or seller, landlord or tenant, and their brokers, where necessary to complete the transaction
• Developers and owners' associations — for NOCs, title transfers and service charge clearances
• Banks and mortgage providers — where you are financing a purchase and have asked us to assist
• Conveyancers, legal advisers and auditors acting on the transaction
• Property portals and advertising platforms — where you have instructed us to market your property, listings and associated material are published on portals including Bayut, Property Finder and Dubizzle, on our website, and on our social media channels
• Prospective buyers on our private database — where a property is sold off-market, we circulate details to selected buyers and their representatives rather than advertising publicly. We share the property information necessary for them to assess it, and do not disclose your identity or contact details without your agreement
• The Christie's International Real Estate network — where marketing your property internationally is part of the service, listings may be shared with affiliates outside the UAE. Those affiliates are separate businesses and are responsible for their own handling of any data they receive
• Our service providers — CRM, email, document storage and IT support providers, who are required to act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not pass your contact details to third parties so they can market their own products to you. Publication of your property listing on portals and in the Christie's network is done on your instructions as part of marketing the property, and is not the same thing.
7. Transfers outside the UAE
Our customer relationship management system is provided by Goyzer Technology Solutions LLC and is hosted on servers in the UAE & SOUTH EASTE ASIA.
Some of our other service providers, and the affiliates referred to above, may process data outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred outside the State, we do so only on a basis permitted by Articles 22 and 23 of Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021. If you would like to know the current arrangements for our systems, contact us and we will confirm them.
8. How long we keep it
Transaction and due diligence records: at least five years, running from the latest of the completion of the transaction, the end of our business relationship, or any related regulatory filing. This period is set by UAE anti-money laundering legislation and we are not permitted to shorten it.
Enquiries that do not lead to a transaction: while your enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you return to us. You can ask us to delete an enquiry record at any time and we will.
Identity and ownership documents collected when you list a property with us: at least five years, on the same basis as above, running from the end of our business relationship — normally the expiry or termination of the listing agreement — or from completion if a transaction proceeds
Marketing contact details: until you withdraw consent.
Photographs, floor plans, virtual tours and listing copy: for the duration of the listing and for a period afterwards while related enquiries are concluded. We will remove them from marketing use on request.
At the end of the retention period, records are securely destroyed and no longer used for any purpose.
9. How we protect it
We restrict access to your documents to the personnel who need them for your transaction. Identity and ownership documents are held in our access-controlled systems, are shared only with named individual recipients, and are not circulated in group messaging channels. Physical documents are kept in locked storage. Our staff are bound by confidentiality obligations and are trained on the handling requirements that apply to client documentation.
10. Your rights
Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 you have the right to:
• Receive information about the types of your personal data we process, the purposes, any decisions made by automated processing, who your data is shared with inside and outside the UAE, our storage periods, how to correct or erase it, our safeguards for transfers abroad, what we do if there is a breach, and how to complain (Article 13)
• Have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed (Article 15(1))
• Request erasure of your personal data in the circumstances set out in Article 15(2)
• Restrict or stop processing where you dispute the accuracy of the data, where processing goes beyond the agreed purposes, or where processing breaches the law (Article 16)
• Object to processing for direct marketing or statistical surveys, or where processing breaches Article 5 (Article 17)
• Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable form, and ask us to transfer it to another controller where technically feasible — this applies where processing rests on your consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means (Article 14)
• Object to decisions made solely by automated processing, including profiling, and ask for a human review (Article 18)
• Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time (Article 6(2))
• Complain to the UAE Data Office (Article 24)
Limits on these rights. Article 15(3)(c) provides that erasure may not be required where the request contradicts other legislation to which we are subject. Where we hold your information because anti-money laundering law requires us to, we must refuse deletion until the retention period has ended. We will explain which records this covers and confirm what has been deleted.
Article 13(3) also allows us to decline an information request where it conflicts with judicial procedures or investigations by competent authorities, would harm our information security, concerns the personal data of third parties, or is excessively repetitive.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond without undue delay. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly excessive.
11. Complaints
If you are unsatisfied with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
12. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. The version number and date appear at the top. Where changes are significant, we will notify you directly.
