District One is a residential community in MBR City (Mohammed Bin Rashid City). It is an AED 35 billion project launched in 2014 by the collaboration of Meydan Sobha and District One Developers. Other companies involved in the project were AE7 as Architectural Consultant, MS Construction and Wade Adams as Building Contractors, and Turner International Middle East as Project Manager. The development consists of 7 sub-communities with an area of 501 hectares (1,240 acres). 65% of the community’s area is devoted to green spaces, which means 26 million sq. ft. of open and green spaces for parks and lagoons.
